MARDEK is a full version retro-inspired role-playing game that takes you on an adventure through a lore-heavy world that blends fantasy and sci-fi. The game tells a lighthearted story that evolves into a deeper exploration of moral ambiguity, all through thought-provoking and silly dialogues. The game allows you to build your party from a wide cast of characters, each with its own unique skillsets, personalities, and stories. You will romp through vast elemental dungeons filled with hordes of monsters, equippable treasures, and dramatic bosses.

The game's story follows Mardek, an ordinary young man whose fantasies of adventure come true when he shares his mind with the consciousness of a dead alien wizard, Rohoph. The three chapters follow Mardek's growth from his imaginative childhood through his training as a Royal Guard to his missions as a full-fledged Royal Knight. Along the way, Mardek and his allies face off against members of a sinister council of Rohoph's alien allies, whom Rohoph claims are evil and must be stopped.
